Due to the increasing demand for asylum by refugees from all over the world, Senator Mario Czaja is ready with a project of 160 million euro: 36 prefabricated houses.
These prefabricated buildings should accommodate about 7000 people.
Would not be sufficient to meet the demand, whose rough estimate is about 15,000 requests a year, but at least it’s a start.
April 22 will be officially presented the project to the Commission, if it were to be approved it will need to find 36 suitable places to placement of prefabricated.
The duration of these houses is around 50 years, which means that if in the future should not further serve the same purpose they may be re-used as social housing, or as student houses.
